Laws About Women – Siebel

Laws about women’s rights have been developed throughout history. There have been many struggles between men and women both for the right to be treated equally and to have equal rights in every walk of life. Throughout history, some of the most prominent activists were pregnant women. The Suffragettes were famous for their efforts to gain equal rights for women, although many of their tactics were unlawful.

As we move into the twenty-first century there are still laws about women’s rights, but there are also new laws being passed that serve to benefit men over women. One such law is the Freedom of Information Act. This act gives all Americans the right to see federal records such as census records. It is important to understand that laws about women’s rights are just that, laws, which exist to protect the rights of individuals.

Another law is the Violence Against Women Act which also gives women the right to work. In many areas of the world a man will hire a woman purely based on her gender. Laws about women do not just pertain to the workplace, but to protecting other individuals from abusive actions. This is a benefit to those who wish to pursue a career or those who are thinking about entering the working world.

Other laws protect women in the home. Laws protect women in the child raising process. A mother can be charged for child support if she does not earn that money herself. Laws also exist that prevent domestic violence. No one should have to experience the abuse that comes along with domestic violence, this is a law that aims to eliminate this kind of abuse once and for all.

It is important that everyone understands that laws about women do not end with what they say. Laws do what they say and these laws do not cater to any kind of feelings that someone may have about a particular situation. If a woman wants to be treated fairly and wants to be paid the same wages as a man for the same work then these laws provide for that. Men and women are equal in everything that is being discussed here. Laws about women should not be just about what women have rights but about all individuals having rights.

It is important that everyone has a full understanding of laws about womens rights. These rights are there for a reason and they should not be taken lightly. Laws protect everyone and it is the responsibility of every individual to learn about their rights. This can help to ensure that no one experiences any type of discrimination when it comes to their gender, their sexual orientation, or any other demographic. Everyone deserves to be treated equally under the law and this is something that can be accomplished through education. If a person goes into a store and knows the laws about women then they will know what questions to ask and what information to look for when it comes to legal issues.
